Interdisciplinary cultural organization, founded in 1996 in Kyiv
They live and work in Kyiv and Munich

Known as well as the "Institution of Unstable Thoughts", an interdisciplinary cultural organization founded in Kyiv in 1996, Alexander Hnilitsky and Lesia Zaiats work between Kyiv and Munich. The artistic duo that has for about ten years now been working on a juncture of various forms and genres, but  prefers the media vector.  For instance one of their famous installation,  titled "Room", built from large rear-projection screens, is an audio-visual media collage of non-linear story-miniatures with a special choreography of light and an absurd atmosphere of "real irreality".  The project "Media comfort" shows average things, placed in one hall, becoming transmitters of visual information, while a background of rhythmic changes lulls the viewers into a pleasant trance. In their project for the Ukrainian pavilion in Venice the artists also refer to the image of a room.  Presented in two rooms, their project tries to create a very special atmosphere involving painting, video and object. However, this room is not created on the principle 'space in space' – as it was done before for an exhibition – this time it blends with the historic interior of the Venetian palazzo.  Entering the ' stream of things', a space of screened 'imagery rental', which at first sight seems to show things from everyday life, like a plate, a couch or a lamp, – viewers inconspicuously experience amazing metamorphoses – somewhat different, modified psycho-things appear in front of them. This room becomes here a world of media phantoms, imitation and visual deception.
